More About Me
Professionalism, integrity and extraordinary service to clients have been my goals since I received a license to practice real estate in July of 2000. Over time, I’ve developed a specialty in prime oceanfront properties that are located primarily in Hancock and Washington Counties. This focus I suspect can be traced to my seafaring ancestors, who were one of the founding families on Monhegan Island. However it evolved, I’ve always had a love for the sea and for sailing. With the exception of only a few years, I’ve always lived on the ocean and I spent over 30 years cruising the Maine coast to the Canadian Maritimes with my husband and our three children. These life experiences have given me an invaluable education and provided me with a unique perspective and appreciation for the rare beauty and incredible diversity of our coast. I’ve also had the privilege and the challenge of designing and building two of our homes ~ a creative “hands on experience” that allowed me to explore two of my other passions ~ architecture and interior design ~ interests that definitely stem from my maternal ancestry. This personal knowledge has helped me to deliver exceptional detailed service and fulfill my professional commitment to both sellers and buyers of properties.
Through the years, I’ve been actively involved in my community and have been honored to serve on many boards: President, Grand Auditorium Board of Directors ~ Executive Director of Performing Arts for Children {an educational outreach program in theatre for Grades pre-K thru 12} under the auspices of the Grand Auditorium ~ Trustee, Maine Coast Memorial Hospital, Board of Directors ~ Trustee, County Trustees of Public Reservations, The Colonel John Black House and Drama Director at Ellsworth High School are a few. I attended Boston University School of Fine Arts and College of Liberal Arts and received my B.A. in English from the University of Maine at Orono
